Christmas Vacation for Cherokee County Schools will be December 19-December 30, 2011. We WILL be having seminary the week of midterms. Let's get a great spiritual start to our testing days!

September Update
We are so proud of you for coming to seminary! We know it's early, yet everyday you come in with cheerful hearts (and the occasional breakfast sandwich).
For the week of the 26th, please plan on a shortened lesson schedule. And, don't forget to watch General Conference this weekend! There are a couple of you who will need to make up a few days of sleeping-in and this is a perfect opportunity!

Seminary Lettering Award/Marietta East Stake
School Year 2011-2012
Requirements:
¨ Read the Old Testament Readings
Choose 7 of the following 10:
¨ Name All Books in Order
¨ Share your Testimony and a Pass Along card with a friend
¨ Read a Minimum of 200 Days
¨ Memorize all 25 Old Testament Scripture Mastery Passages
¨ Review/Mark all other Scripture Mastery Passages
¨ Teach one Family Home Evening lesson based on a lesson from class
¨ Read and Summarize one talk from each General Conference – October 200 & April 2008
¨ Memorize all 25 Book of Mormon Master Scriptures
¨ Memorize all 25 Doctrine & Covenants Master Scriptures
¨ Memorize all 25 New Testament Master Scriptures

Seminary Graduation
Seminary Graduation is at the Stake Center on Sunday, May 22nd at 7:00pm. We have a graduate this year, so let's all go to cheer her on!

Yes, you made it!!!! The last day of seminary is close at hand. We will be having our 171st and last day of seminary on Friday, May 20th. Please come and give us a hug!

Seminary Tuesday, January 18 5:50am
Monday is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, a national holiday, so we will not have seminary again until Tuesday.
To make up the missed snow days we need everyone to come with:
-a short, 1 paragraph essay discussing the importance of the temple today.
-choose 5 "favorite" temples from this dispensation and write a brief history of each.
- include when it was dedicated and by whom.
It's really important that we make these days up, brothers and sisters and there WILL be "sharing time" for you to talk about your choices.
